How did Coach Katie get into Leadership Coaching, Executive Coaching, and DISC Consulting?
It was in October 2022 when I woke up from a dream with the R3 Revitalize business name and business model. R3 stands for Renew, Regrow, Restore the life you are meant to live. On 10/25/2022, with a pen and a journal in hand, the mind map began unfolding. I started coaching in 2014 and started a small business. After 2 1/2 years of famine, I retired that business and took a health coaching position in corporate healthcare, coaching chronic health patients to better health. What a blessed and monumental experience to learn the nuances of one-to-one, group, and digital coaching under a controlled, quality-controlled, and supportive environment.
God made a way out of corporate health care in July 2023. During the initial stages of identifying my target market, niche, and ideal clients, most of my clients were business owners who held executive-type or leadership roles in their careers.
In the early stages of business building, I accepted a part-time position with a local holistic wellness doctor, which required me to differentiate my ideal clientele. I have always been passionate about business and saw a way to apply my skill set in behavioral coaching to leadership development.
My love of life and the root of Jesus changed my life on 11/4/2011. I do not force my beliefs on clients; I always ask their relationship with something bigger than themselves. My purpose is to touch a billion souls with a seed of faith. If the influence of the love of God changed my life, it can change yours, too.
-- Coach Katie
A little more about Coach Katie and her story.
Katie was born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota. Rooted in the east metro of the twin cities, she dreamed of the day she could work and contribute to a bigger purpose. Tired of snow and cold, she imagined palm trees and the sea. Florida became the 'retirement' goal.
When she was 18 years old and working at Walmart, Gretchen in the fitting room told her she should become a motivational speaker. Gretchen saw a gift that Katie did not see or understand. Her days working in customer service at Walmart, Alside Supply, and Andersen Windows in corporate administration were fine, but over time, Katie felt undervalued and unfulfilled. She had a college degree in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, and did not feel she was using her education. There was a void she was feeling inside.
Subjected to school-aged bullying and childhood obesity, she spent much of her younger adult years a mess! Unsure of herself, lacking confidence, stable and healthy romantic relationships, love, and self-love. She settled for how terrible the world was. She felt God was a comedian and humans were just ants with marching orders for nothing good but to die.
On November 4, 2011, on her grandpa's deathbed, Katie said "Yes" to Jesus as her savior. Like the woman touching the cloak of Jesus in the bible, her life went from ‘night’ to ‘day.’
The day after Easter Sunday in 2012, Katie faced the most critical and life-changing question. "How often will I do the same things, expecting different results?" She took a mental health day and drove to Lake Pepin in Wabasha, Minnesota. She scribbled down all her needs, wants, desires, and core values in a journal. Weeping, sobbing, and terrified of what could happen. She asked and demanded that God change the waves.
GOD CHANGED THE WAVES IN EXTRAORDINARY WAYS!
Today, Katie sees the exhilarating beauty of the world! Despite the pandemic, politics, news, or perceived evil. God gave us Jesus to yoke to and guaranteed He would not forsake us!
"But seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all things will be given to you as well." - Matthew 6:33.
Dr. Wayne Dyer said, "When you change how you see things, the things you see change."
Katie's purpose is to share God's glory. She serves through her spiritual gifts of observing human behavior to pour out love, compassion, and sometimes what will be perceived as painful personal truth.
Now, in her 40s and 15 years of studying human behavior change, emotional intelligence, neuroplasticity, positive psychology, quantum physics, and the Bible, she is well-equipped to share hope and support you in getting your results!
Katie is committed to continued education, self-development, and lifelong learning. Katie has made a habit of visioning, journal writing, crafting vision boards and vision boxes, and creating a ‘key’ yearly word to focus on. She is committed to becoming the best version of herself, and the human God intended her to be. She yokes to Jesus and leans into Him when life gets messy. She has learned to become comfortable being outside her comfort zone.
Katie enjoys life and what life has to offer. Kicking off most days with exercise, followed by meditation, prayer, and coffee-watching birds or by the sea. Katie loves hiking and exploring new territory. Katie is happily married to Craig.
God uses our struggles to support others going through tough times. Who will you inspire along your journey?
Why Coaching?
The world is hard! When we focus on the world, we get lost, feel a void, lose energy, feel sick, withdraw, experience sadness, lack motivation, stay unhealthy, and want to give up.
With your permission, Katie’s talent for digging deeper into your struggle will help you notice how and when you wear your handcuffs to life. She will partner with you while you learn to remove the handcuffs to life and choose a serving attitude, even if you are deep in the struggle.
Katie will equip you with tools to experiment with; you can discern what works best for you.
Does Coach Katie Struggle in midlife?
Yes, Katie still struggles in different seasons of life.
The difference is she has developed the skills to pick up her cross, carry it in the wilderness, and learn from the contrast. Contrast (the struggle) creates clarity (the desire), and clarity (the desire) creates the emotionally compelling reason ‘WHY’ to do something different. If you are open to it, she will teach you how to build those skills and encourage you to teach the people you love and care about so that it ripples into eternity.
You will always get what you tolerate.
You will always get what you expect.
Illustrated in Matthew chapter 7, verses 7-12.
